School Leadership
The Visions in Education Network paradigm helps school leaders define and articulate a clear educational mission for their schools. Our services that optimize successful leadership include ongoing guidance to assess and implement research-based instructional strategies; to recognize and attract genuine commitment in prospective teachers and staff; to identify and manage resources effectively; and to establish and participate in robust support initiatives. We provide tools that help school leaders develop strong Professional Learning Communities dedicated to student success. Data consistently show that dynamic PLCs and goal-specific committees that emphasize mutually supportive teacher – principal collaboration significantly enhance learning outcomes for children.
We also guide leaders on how to identify and best approach both traditional and contemporary stakeholders that support the range of issues that impact student learning today through dedicated youth advocacy.
Teachers
Our strategies help teachers expand their mastery of specific skills such as lesson planning and student work review to maximize understanding; to hone knowledge of content and instructional delivery; to respond effectively to classroom synergy; and to identify and manage resources to maximize positive contributions to the learning environment. Highly trained Network consultants advise teachers in evaluating research-based approaches that advance the quality of literacy instruction, technology practices, and STEM education that best serve their students’ needs.
Our applications also encourage teachers to explore powerful, but sometimes overlooked, influences such as classroom design and décor, alternative seating options, and classroom upkeep. Numerous studies show that orderly settings enhance student concentration, and our approach maximizes an environment of learning and complements teaching practices for successful outcomes.
Parents and Guardians
The success of our strategy relies significantly on strong partnerships with parents and guardians. We provide school staff at all levels with guidance to optimize their relationships with parents to meet learning goals for students. Our paradigm includes guidance to establish rapport with parents; to stress availability; and to encourage active and consistent participation in meeting learning objectives.
Studies show that children whose parents communicate regularly with teachers and administrators in a supportive, nonconfrontational setting to evaluate performance generally earn higher grades and demonstrate appropriate, respectful classroom behaviors.
We also provide teachers of at-risk children whose parents may not have the means to pursue assistance on how to access appropriate medical and legal advocates to help them minimize the barriers to education. We partner with the ACLU, Resources for Immigrant Families National PTA, and the National Parent Teacher Association.
Community Activists
Most activists are deeply invested in meeting high academic performance of the schools in their communities. They understand that high-performing schools enhance community development and are reliable contributors in ventures that schools rely upon to meet teaching and learning objectives. We advise educators in partnering with local activists for use of facilities, project funding, supplies, and other necessities inaccessible due to lack of vision, budgetary restrictions, and suboptimal allocation.
